At TEDxIIUM 2025, themed “Back to the Roots”, students, entrepreneurs, and changemakers came together to share ideas that inspire and spark action. The day was full of thought-provoking talks and lively discussions, all centered around reconnecting with the values that drive meaningful change.
One of the highlights of the event was Wan Emir Astar, our Co-Founder, who participated as one of the panel speakers. Emir shared his journey building ReMeal, and how the team turns the challenge of food waste into opportunities to support communities. His stories and experiences gave the audience a glimpse of what it takes to build a purpose-driven venture.
Emir did not just talk about business, he spoke about impact. How sustainability, social responsibility, and creativity can come together to make a real difference. His insights resonated with the audience, encouraging young innovators to think about how their ideas can leave a lasting mark.
By the end of the session, it was clear that Emir’s message had made an impression. The audience left inspired to think bigger, act locally, and create change in ways that matter, a perfect reflection of TEDx’s spirit of ideas worth spreading.
We are incredibly proud to see our Co-Founder represent ReMeal on such a platform and share his vision with the community. Emir’s participation highlights the kind of impact-driven leadership we strive for, and it motivates us to continue creating solutions that matter for both people and the planet.
