ReMeal has collaborated with FoodSense - a student led team based at Asia Pacific University (APU) - to deliver a webinar around the topic of food waste. FoodSense aims to raise awareness around zero-waste initiatives, and to encourage responsible consumption.

The webinar was organized in conjunction with FoodSense's campaign to educate students on topics related to reducing food waste.

In this webinar, Nur Syafiah Ab Rahim, Co-Founder of ReMeal, talked about:

  • The problem and scale of food waste in Malaysia.

  • Ways we can tackle the issue as an individual and as a society.

  • How tech can help in the fight against food waste.

  • How she used what she learned from her MBA in Sustainable Business to help her start-up ReMeal.

About the event that was delivered to 50+ students, Nur Syafiah stated that, "It's inspiring to see university students getting educated and engaged with the issue of waste. Building a green-minded community now means they're already becoming the change-makers our future needs. Get informed—read articles, talk to people about the issues of food waste. Once you've done that, it's hard to unsee or unhear. You'll be more aware, and it will change how you think about food waste."
