On Tuesday, 18 February 2025, ReMeal participated in the Bazar Ramadan Briefing by the Sepang Municipal Council (MP Sepang) at Semarak Hall, Cyberjaya. This event marked an important step in ReMeal’s collaboration with Pemuda Gema for the upcoming MYSaveFood @ Bazar Ramadan 2025 campaign.

Asyara Kamal, representing ReMeal and serving as the Co-Director of MYSaveFood KL, spoke at the event to brief the bazar sellers about the MySaveFood objectives and operation. She emphasized to bazar sellers the importance of planning and budgeting their sales to minimize excess food at the end of the day. Proper forecasting and portion control, she explained, can help reduce waste while maximizing profits.

During the event, representatives from ReMeal and Pemuda Gema distributed MYSaveFood pamphlets to raise awareness about the campaign and recruit more volunteers. Bazar sellers familiar with MYSaveFood from previous years were introduced to ReMeal’s role in strengthening this year’s initiative through technology, making food rescue efforts more structured and efficient.

Last year, MYSaveFood successfully rescued 60 tonnes of food (precisely 60,776.49 KG, according to data from the Pemuda Gema website) from 147 bazars across all Malaysian states. However, with Ramadan approaching, more volunteers are needed to expand the campaign’s impact.
